Tarot Reading :P

You are The Lovers

Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.

The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.

Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.

To be a better man

"Better Man"

Send someone to love me
I need to rest in arms
Keep me safe from harm
In pouring rain

Give me endless summer
Lord I fear the cold
Feel I'm getting old
Before my time

As my soul heals the shame
I will grow through this pain
Lord I'm doing all I can
To be a better man

Go easy on my conscience
'Cause it's not my fault
I know I've been taught
To take the blame

Rest assured my angels
Will catch my tears
Walk me out of here
I'm in pain

As my soul heals the shame
I will grow through this pain
Lord I'm doing all I can
To be a better man

Once you've found that lover
You're homeward bound
Love is all around
Love is all around

I know some have fallen
On stony ground
But Love is all around

Send someone to love me
I need to rest in arms
Keep me safe from harm
In pouring rain

Give me endless summer
Lord I fear the cold
Feel I'm getting old
Before my time

As my soul heals the shame
I will grow through this pain
Lord I'm doin' all I can
To be a better man

This song by Robbie Williams clearly states how I feel at the moment. I shall dedicate this song to Cindy.

Playstation 3 Launch! (well in Malaysia that is)

Of the many things I love in games, Playstation is one of them. I have all the machines PS, PS2, and now PS3! The build up to the launching was pretty exciting. It all started from the lowyat forums, when I heard a rumor saying that the PS3 was finally launching in Malaysia. All the rest of the world they were launched like near 2 years ago.. Yeah, MALAYSIA BOLEH!

With me checking on the forums pretty much often to see when is the official date of the launch, it was finally announced, 20th September 2008 is the official launch date. I didn't get the console earlier because the vendors here do not provide warranty for the unit, and the games was pretty much expensive. So coming back to the story, I was pretty excited and told my housemate Felix about the launch, and he was pretty much hyped by it too :P.

The event was to be held at 10am in One Utama Shopping Complex. Early birds who come early for the units will receive cash vouchers apart from the package which includes: The console, 1 DS3 Controller, Soul Callibur 4, one more game of 4 choices, a PS3 tote bag, and a Soul Calibur 4 cd container (which looks more like a plastic container toy thing). Early birds would receive cash vouchers as follows: 1st-3rd:RM1000m 4th-20th:RM500, 21st-50th:RM300, 51st-120th:RM150. The official time in which the queue was suppose to be 8am on the launch day itself.

The eve came, and when I checked the forums at about 7pm, some user posted that there was already a queue there! I panicked! So I decided to camp overnight there in the queue, with my housemate :P. Grab my stuff, had dinner and went off! Reached there about 10.30pm, and straight away queued on the line, wondering what number I was. After some counting, I realised we are number 39th and 40th in line! Yippie! RM300 voucher is in our hands! (if we survive the night that is).

So the night started out with us trying to get comfortable with the place. Felix trying to get Wifi access on his laptop and finally got even a power point to charge his laptop while he watch his anime to burn time. As for myself, I walked around the place and looked at the 24hours games marathon which has already started, laze around in the empty shopping complex (only to be chased out by security guards!), and talk around with the kiasu people of Malaysia. (including myself :P) There were tents set up by the people queuing, so they were really well prepared. As for me and Felix, we just sat and slept on the floor. It was really going to be a looooong night. Here's a few pictures taken around 12pm-3am. (sorry for the poor quality of pictures, taken on my old Clie palmtop)

The night went pretty slow, with me getting restless and not able to sleep outdoors. So I slept couple of minutes here and there in the car with the air con on :P. Oh, and they provided a dinner buffet for us to eat at night. The people queuing were from all over Malaysia, some from Ipoh, Johor, and even Penang. The organizers were pretty busy still setting up the place. So we waited till morning came.

7am came, and there was an influx of "late-comers" or rather "on-time" people who came thinking they would be in the top 50 or so since they came an hour before time. haha. To thier suprise, they were like 90th in place but still lucky to get a RM150 voucher. The organizers has only provided 120 units to be sold during the launch, so anyone after 120th wouldn't be able to get a console.

8am came, and the organizers gave us the official numbers in queue to pick up our PS3! The crowd was then building up, there was also a rehersal on the event, since the big boss of Sony is going to be present.

10am came and the public was around, the media was around, the ViP not really there yet, plenty of Sony girls around in sexy white uniforms to promote the PS3, games, accessories and BD movies. There was also going to be a PS3 girl competition. So there were alot of girls in around the place trying to stay calm for thier catwalk, and stage appearances.

Life As It Is As A Christian

Having gone through a small important phase of life, I've realized how important friends are to us. They are there to support and give us courage to lift ourselves up from the dirt that we're fallen into. And to that, I realized too, that I only have TWO good friends, thats Nigel and Hing Yoong. Both of them, my childhood friends. Both of them, happily married to their preferred spouses and expecting babies end of this year! Grats to both of them :)

I do envy(in a good way) and at the same time feel very happy for them for being able to settle down quickly and have a family of their own. For me of course, is a different matter altogether. However, I will not give up on her, till she says its over. I'm a fool in love, I believe that the world would not exist if there isn't love. Love makes things work, love makes people work, love creates hope. On a different perspective, love can be hurtful, it can be deceiving, it can bring bad decisions, it can bring even in some cases, suicides.

Whichever way you look at it, it's gonna be a big part of our lives. The sacrifices we make, the secrets we keep, the effort we take, the decisions we make, all for the sake of love. The Bible indicates that love is from God. In fact, the Bible says "God is love." Love is one of the primary characteristics of God. Likewise, God has endowed us with the capacity for love. This capacity for love is one of the ways in which we are "created in the image of God".

As a Catholic Christian, I believe in love. I shall quote a verse from the Bible.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:1-13)

I've highlighted the parts in which truly perceives the meaning of love by God's words.
His love remains unconditional to us, the human race. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

These two verses has given new meaning of life to me. As God's chosen people, as we are created in the IMAGE OF GOD, we should try our best to be like Him, giving unconditional love with all our hearts. Of course, we have our own weaknesses as we ARE human after all. The temptation of man is something in which even Jesus' most loved apostles would have fallen into, however, there is always, redemption, reconciliation and forgiveness.

I do hope and pray one day, I will be able to find a person who shares the same idea of Love with me and live with me for the rest of my life. :)

The Computer and Me

My interest in computers has been there since the day when I was in primary school. It all started when there was a free period in school and the teacher has nothing else to teach us, so he led us to the computer room to fiddle with the computers. I was amazed on how sophisticated this machine I saw in the computer room is. It was an Apple computer.

Then I got home, went all excited and told my parents about the computer. Ever since that day, my daily ramblings was about computers. Till my dad brought me to a computer shop and had me enrolled to computer lessons. I learned the computer language Basic. After the classes, I would then be given a full box of games to choose from and to play. I remember my favorite games were Alley Cat and Load Runner

Then after much persuasion telling my dad how good the computer is and how much I can learn from it, he decided to buy one for me. My first computer I got was a PC XT with Turbo settings to 8Mhz! LoL (well the normal settings was like 4.5MHz, was a button on the pc to set it to TURBO) with 16 color monitor! (well at least it was better than the green screen monitor).

So very much I played with the computer I had to wear spectacles at the young age of 8 or was it 9..

Jumping into the time today, my computer is now a Intel 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo, Asus 9600GT 512MB DDR3 Graphic Card, 2GB DDR2 667 Ram, 200GB HDD SATA2 with a Samsung 19" LCD Monitor. I love how technology has improved, and how my favorite tool has evolved itself.

Yea, I'm a computer nerd/geek. Not much life outside besides the computer. I do business with my computer, I found my girlfriend online, I play games online, I chat/ramble/gossip online chats. I pretty much do EVERYTHING online, so much which it frightens me sometimes, how dependant I am towards the computer.

Sorry to bore you with my computer story here, I've got no pictures to show at the moment cause the only camera I could use is with my girlfriend who is still in vacation in Sabah helping her family with shifting houses and at the mean time, getting off-time from me! I do hope she's doing alright there. She doesn't even know I have a blog haha... well.. not just yet. Oh yeah, she just got a new DSLR camera so I could use it when she's back to show you more interesting things. Oh and don't even bother asking why I didn't use my camera phone to take pictures. Well to makes things short and simple, my phone is VERY ANCIENT, I only use it to make and receive calls and sms.

Kinda bored watching Euro 2008 Quarter Finals, Turkey Vs Croatia. Both teams are just plain lousy. haha.. Well I support Holland to win, we'll see how it goes...

First Blog of my Life

I would like to say, its way about time I made myself a blog. With all the hype and news about how blog could relate to many things in life at the present time. Of course, this is by influence from my girlfriend, friends, and the many blogs which I do read everyday.

Not really sure what this blog is going to turn out to be, but nevertheless, a commitment to start is a good step.

What I would include in my blog would mainly be about the many games/experiences we do encounter in life and how people live up to it.

And with this, I shall cut the ribbon for my blog :) hurray! *snip*snip*
